MRS. KIM KYTE-THOMAS, the Managing Attorney of the Firm, was admitted to the Guyana Bar in October 2001.  She was a State Prosecutor attached to the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions from 2001 to 2004 and thereafter was appointed a Magistrate by the Judicial Service Commission, in which capacity she served from 2004 to 2007. In the year 2007, she ventured into private practice in Georgetown and Berbice and practices extensively in both civil and criminal law.  She specializes in criminal litigation, constitutional and administrative law, civil litigation and advice, family law, estate planning, land law and corporate and commercial law.

Mrs. Kyte-Thomas is also a Registered Patent and Trademark Agent and is a Lecturer in the Department of Law, University of Guyana for over ten (10) years and has lectured in the areas of Real Property, Tort Law, Commercial and Contract Law.

Mrs. Kyte-Thomas holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Procurement Law and Governance from the University of the West Indies and a Post Graduate Certificate in International and Treaty Law. She also holds a Masters of Law and a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of London. She is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing her PHD in ADR and Conflict Resolution with the EUCLID University.

Mrs. Kyte-Thomas is the former Solicitor General of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, having served in that capacity from April, 2017 to November, 2018 and was also a Member of the Legal Practitioner’s Committee from December, 2017 to November, 2018.
